FLOWERING PLANTS REPRODUCTION

1.First we finish the last class about ferns reproduction.

The first reproduction in mosses and ferns in called sporophyte (2n) reproduces asexually. The produce spores.


The second generation is sexual reproduction or gametophyte (n) is done by sexual gametes (male and female gametes)


GLOSARY:
Gamete/Gameto: Sexual cell/Celula Sexual masculina ò femenina.

ANTERIDIUM:



ARCHEGONIUM



The sori, are the male a antheridium and produce haploid (n) spores.



The protallium is the female or archegonium , it is amophous and have root like rhizoids, the archegonium is heart shape.

GLOSARY:
Prothallus: Protalo
Prothallium: Protalo
Sori: Soro
Rhizoids: Rizoides
Ovum: Ovulo



When the sori exploits, spores out and swim and looking a place to form the prothallium, this will form the male and female gametes. When they join a new fern or sporophyte (2n).


FLOWERING PLANTS REPRODUCTION
Flowering plants also present alternation of generation that is sexual. The flower is responsible of the sexual reproduction.
